15 & 16 Weeks

My last week 0f break and our new years was great. On New Years eve, we went out to eat with Sarah, Justin and Megan. Mitch was passed out on the couch by 10, so sleeping Row got my new year's kiss at 12:00.

Here are some things he is doing this week:

-He recognizes everyone and everything around him.

-He will smile if he likes you or stick out his lip and cry if he doesn't.

-He loves to look at the TV, computer and toys that lights up.

-He grabs things and occasionally puts them in his mouth.

-He loves sucking on his hands.

-He drools all over himself constantly, so he wheres a bib a lot more.

-He is eating 6 ounces every 3-4 hours.

-He sleeps from about 7:00 - 2:00, wakes up for a feeding and goes back to sleep until about 7.

-He is the happiest in the morning.

-He loves the toys that hang above or at eye level with him.

-He tried a few different fruits this week, but doesn't seem interested.

I had to go back to work this week :( But my mom is keeping him, so it isn't that hard to leave him in the morning.

She takes lots of pictures throughout the day for me!
He is picking his head up and holding it steady for longer periods of time.

He loves the jumper and everything on it.

He loves sucking his hands.

Also:
-He is close to rolling from his back to his stomach.
He tries so hard because he loves to be on his stomach.

-My mom made him laugh today!
(I cannot wait to try to make him laugh when he wakes up!)

-He loves to look at himself in the mirror.

-He is babbling more everyday and he sometimes squeals with excitement.

-When he is about to smile, he shyly turns his head to the right.
(I put this on here because this is what I did as a child and still some today.)

-He weighs about 17 pounds and is in 6 month clothing.

More things going on.......
- We are "breaking ground" on our house on Monday. Footers will be dug and block will be laid next week!

-I am still doing Couch to 5K.
I am on week 6 and I ran 2 miles straight yesterday and wasn't that tired or out of breath :)
I am finally back to my pre-pregnancy weight, even though I do carry my weight in different places now.

-Our good friends Katherine and Chris Jones had baby Finn on December 31st.
AND
Our good friends Anna and Todd Pate had baby Madison on January 6th.
More babies to come soon!

The Big Bad (Dead) Wolf

Yesterday, my mom and I went walking. This road runs along a huge open field and is a new development, so there is no traffic and there aren't any houses. While we were walking, I was explaining to mom why I wouldn't walk on this road alone. I have always said I was scared of wild hogs coming out and eating me alive or something along those lines. (I think of weird things and I am a scaredy cat.) Mom said in our situation all I had to do was out run her and I would be fine ;)

On our way back I saw something strange in the tree. I started to walk faster, while she was trying to find what I was talking about. She finally saw it and said "That's just a cat, here kitty kitty." I said, "No, that's a wolf and I hope he is dead and not sleeping." (I was about to try out her running theory ;)

Obviously he was dead, but we couldn't figure out what happened to him. So my dad, Mitch and I went back to check it out more. Here are some pictures....

Strange and scarey huh? It makes you think a little more about walking alone.

Tacky Christmas Party

We held our 3rd Annual Tacky Christmas Party in early December. We had it at the country club this year so we didn't have to worry about neighbors, food, drinks, clean up, weather, ect and this year was definitely the best so far!! Here are a few pics.
