This weekend is the opening weekend of bow season and my husband is SO excited. Mitch got all of his hunting things out of storage and organized it in the "right" bags. All of his hunting clothes have been washed in scent-away and his bow has been sighted in. Also, all of his hunting clothes still fit (yes he put them on) and the deer grunter works (I heard it all night). It was funny when I came in the door the other day and he was sitting on the chair with all of his hunting equipment around him. I had to take a picture. I am sure this is how he looked when he was a child on Christmas Day!

Our 2 Year Anniversary
Mitch and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary on October 6th. I cannot believe it has been 2 years since we got married! On Tuesday, Mitch, me, Chase (Nutt) and Meg went to the Troy football game. We had a very good time!!
Since we went to the game on our anniversary, we went out to eat on Wednesday to celebrate. Can you guess where we went? If you live in Andalusia I bet you guessed it..... Old Mexico!
It was very good, like always!
I always said I wanted to follow the traditional wedding gifts for our anniversary. Year 1 present is paper, our gift to each other was tickets to Sandals in Jamaica. Year 2 present is cotton, so we are getting new sheets for our bed! I know that is not as exciting as a trip to Jamaica, but I am excited about it and we are still following the rules! Next year is leather... I don't know what we will do!?

Ollie's Army Walk in Crestview

As you all probably know, we walked in Crestview this past weekend to support Cystic Fibrosis. We all did a terrific job! Ollie's Army raised over $14,000 and with all the other teams combined, Great Strides collected over $25,000! Lynsey has a ton of pictures and information about this on her blog, but I wanted to blog about it too. Many great people came out and supported Ollie and other loved ones with CF. Sometimes I take things for granted, but on this day I realized how lucky I am to have a GREAT group of friends that will support and help with anything!!! I know Lynsey and John felt the same way! Thank you all SO MUCH!!

On our way home there was a bale of hay on the main road of 55. We stopped so our strong men (Nutt and Mitch) could move it off of the road. It was very funny watching them run full force in the road and bulldoze the bale like a football player. I had to take a picture!

Labor Day Weekend
We had a wonderful weekend with great friends!!! Mitch and I along with our best friends, Meg and Chase (Nutt), Justin and Sarah, and Brandon Ware all went to the beach. We watched football all day on Saturday and then watched the Auburn game at Billy and Kelly Bergfeild's house in Destin. We also got to see many people we haven't seen in forever. Sunday we rested and FINALLY made some plans. We decided to eat early and go to Howl at the Moon. If you have never gone to this place you have got to go!! It is one of my favorite places to go when we are at the beach. On Sunday nights they have "Comedian Night." We saw 2 hillarious comedians and watched their regular piano show (which is funny too.)
On Monday we came home, hung out and ate some great food with my family.
Also, Howl at the Moon is helping fight CF on Friday, September 18th. It should be a lot of fun!!!
This is us at Howl at the Moon.

Here is a picture of Olllie on Labor Day sleeping. I thought it was hillarious, she had her butt sticking straight in the air!!

Ginnie Springs
This past weekend we finally made our trip to Ginnie Springs in Florida. Lynsey planned this trip for months and it turned out to be great!!! Mitch and I left Thursday night and met John, Lynsey, Hal and Laura down there. All weekend we floated down the river, swam in the springs, cooked over a bon-fire and hung out. I laughed so much my stomach was actually hurting! It was really nice to go on a trip with good friends and have nothing to worry about (although we did see two alligators and a snake!!)
This is a picture of the river and some of the floaters. Off of this river is about 6 different inlets that go into beautiful, crystal clear springs.
Daddy tent(Lynsey and John), mommy tent (Laura and Hal) and baby tent(Lesley and Mitch.)
Ours did end up being the best tent! You wouldn't have thought it though! :)
We also had the best spot on the river (thanks to Lynsey)!
This was probably the most fun and relaxing trip we have had in a while and we decided it is going to be an annual event!!!

Panama City Beach Cheer Camp
This past weekend, my 12 Varsity cheerleaders and I traveled to Panama City Beach for cheer camp. I was worried, knowing that something would happen between the girls. (This is 12 high schoolers.) But thank God, I was wrong!! We arrived Thursday and registered, right then the lady said we won the cutest award! They did look very cute!
This picture was taken Thursday before we left.
When we got to PCB, they started cheering right away. Next, we had our home pom evaluation. (That is a dance we bring from home and perform for everyone.) We did great on the dance, but during it, one of the cheerleaders twisted her ankle very badly. That was a BIG bummer and thankfully was the worst incident that happened.
This is before we went on for our Home Pom Dance!
Friday we won the first award, the SPIRIT STICK!!
We were so excited!!!
Friday night, UCA held a jump off. I had to nominate 3 cheerleaders to participate. This was very hard considering all of the cheerleaders have wonderful jumps. Kaitlin Holley, Cambrie Barnes and Jamie Park got to jump. They were competing against about 80 other girls and all three of them made it to the next round!!! They did great!
The girls before they competed in the jump off.
Saturday they had a "Hero's Rally" where we chose a hero we wanted to recognize. We chose the army!! There were a lot of of cute ideas; firefighters, superman, batman, wonder woman, UCA staff and a bunch of others.
"Hero's Rally"
Also on Saturday, UCA had a luau where the girls got to dress up, play games, dance, and eat.
Finally on Sunday UCA handed out awards! Andalusia won 1st place in dance competition, 2nd place in cheer competition and all superior ribbons.
Also, we had 3 all american cheerleaders.
Overall we did WONDERFUL!!! I am so proud to be the coach of this great squad......
As you can tell!!!
