The Big Bad (Dead) Wolf

Yesterday, my mom and I went walking. This road runs along a huge open field and is a new development, so there is no traffic and there aren't any houses. While we were walking, I was explaining to mom why I wouldn't walk on this road alone. I have always said I was scared of wild hogs coming out and eating me alive or something along those lines. (I think of weird things and I am a scaredy cat.) Mom said in our situation all I had to do was out run her and I would be fine ;)

On our way back I saw something strange in the tree. I started to walk faster, while she was trying to find what I was talking about. She finally saw it and said "That's just a cat, here kitty kitty." I said, "No, that's a wolf and I hope he is dead and not sleeping." (I was about to try out her running theory ;)

Obviously he was dead, but we couldn't figure out what happened to him. So my dad, Mitch and I went back to check it out more. Here are some pictures....

Strange and scarey huh? It makes you think a little more about walking alone.

Tacky Christmas Party

We held our 3rd Annual Tacky Christmas Party in early December. We had it at the country club this year so we didn't have to worry about neighbors, food, drinks, clean up, weather, ect and this year was definitely the best so far!! Here are a few pics.

Week 11, 12, 13 and 14

I have a new appreciation for working moms! It is tough.... leaving your baby for hours a day (the toughest), doing your normal "duties" at home, planning for work (teachers always bring their work home), finding clothes to wear (or clothes that fit), having a social life (even with your husband), getting sleep, trying to update blog, yata yata yata.

Here is our past month's summary.

Row turned 11 weeks old on December 2nd. This week I started back to work. The kids are always crazy before Christmas and I was crazy too, so I figured this would be a great time for us to get adjusted to each other. I had a great week back! It felt like I had never left, but also like the first day of school. My mom started keeping Row and she will continue to keep him until May, which is a total blessing!! She comes to my house around 6:30 and stays there half the day and then they usually go back to her house the other half of the day. This is very nice!!!!!!!!!!!

This week was a little easier. My mom and I have somewhat adjusted to our new schedules.

This week was a little more hectic. We had Christmas parties galore... Faculty, grade-level, classroom, AJWC, Sunday School and our infamous Tacky Christmas Sweater party.

This picture shows what a happy baby Row is. When he smiles it makes all of my worries and cares go away. But he can also get mad fast!! When he gets mad there is no calming him down until he gets what he wants. You have to be extra fast at fixing his bottle, changing him or bathing him.
